DESCRIPTION
Welo Data is seeking native-level Spanish (Mexico) speakers for Project Hydrus, a conversational AI voice recording project.
What You'll Do:
✅ Submit two short audition recordings demonstrating natural conversational speech and customer-service style
✅ Participate in two supervised recording sessions of approximately 4 hours each
✅ Record scripted material in a natural, everyday conversational tone
✅ Record spontaneous speech on assigned topics while maintaining consistent warmth and pace
✅ Follow live direction from a Session Director during supervised sessions
✅ Manage your own home recording space and professional audio equipment
✅ Deliver all recordings entirely in Mexican Spanish, without switching to other languages or dialects
Preferred (Not Required):
• Professional voice-over experience in dubbing, ADR, audiobooks, or conversational podcasting
• An existing acoustically treated home recording studio
Location: Remote (Mexico)
Pay: $40/hour
Duration: Approximately 8 hours total
Sessions: Two supervised sessions, approximately 4 hours each

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
• Native or native-equivalent fluency in Spanish (Mexico)
• Experience as a voice actor, actor, theater performer, or comparable performance background
• Access to a quiet recording space free of echo and background noise
• Professional-grade microphone for auditions, with qualifying USB condenser or XLR microphone and audio interface for paid sessions if selected
• Closed-back monitoring headphones for supervised recording sessions
• Ability to self-direct auditions and follow live direction
• Basic audio recording skills, including microphone positioning and identifying noise, clipping, and distortion
