Location: office based in Lisbon, Portugal

Role: English speaking Customer Service/Technical Support Officer 

Salary:  EUR 27-30K basic gross p/a (depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hrs per week mainly office hrs but can be rotational TBC (can include late or early shifts to support American and Australian market)

The company

Our client, with it's headquarter in Australia, is setting up a new international office in Lisbon and is looking for a Customer Service/Technical Support Officer to join their team in the city centre. This role combines customer-facing responsibilities with process-oriented tasks and technical support, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment. 

The Role

As a Customer Service/Technical Support Officer you will be the first point of contact via phone and email to end-users and business clients. The role focuses primarily on delivering exceptional customer experiences, with some technical support responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction and address any outstanding concerns.
  • Monitor and analyze customer feedback to identify trends, recommend service improvements, and enhance overall service quality.
  • Utilize CRM systems to maintain detailed records of customer interactions, inquiries, and resolutions for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and resources to assist customers with the installation, maintenance, and operation of the products
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to communicate updates, product information, or promotional offers to customers.
  • Support sales teams with pre-sale inquiries and provide updates on order tracking as needed.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolutions while upholding the company's brand reputation.
  • Liaise with the Australian corporate head office to engage with finance and supply chain teams for open book management support.
  • Collaborate with the USA head office for escalated technical support when required.
REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have: 

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluency in German and/or Dutch is considered a plus
  • Previous experience in a customer support and technical support role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
