Translator Analyst with Finnish

This will be your future team

You will join a team of four dedicated Finnish translators who are all committed to their work and industry. Our team is very independent, and management takes place on the ground level. While we may not be the most talkative bunch, we are always willing to support our colleagues when it is required, and cooperation is necessary in organizing our daily work. Our working hours are based on a rotating schedule, which means that you are expected to come to the office at a certain time each week and leave at a certain time. After you have become accustomed to the work that we do, you will be able to work from home for one week per month. Our team is also very flexible as far as vacation and time off is concerned, and we never work overtime.

This will be your future role

You will be providing translations of documents, materials, and requests related to financial services and banking technology. While you do not need to have a background in banking or IT, having some basic understanding of these fields will be helpful. However, even if you start with no prior experience, you will build up your knowledge of specialized financial translation over time. The purpose of our team is also to act as a liaison between countries, clearing language barriers and facilitating the smooth exchange of information and meaning. In addition to providing translations, performing quality checks and assessing the work done by your colleagues is a standard part of our process.

This is what you already have

Our work demands focus and precision, the ability to act independently, and you should be able to learn new things and terms quickly. You should be well organized and capable of prioritizing your own work, as everyone is expected to proactively pick up new tasks to ensure that our overall workflow remains smooth and that agreed deadlines are met.

If you have the following, you are ready to join us

• You have native knowledge of Finnish and advanced knowledge of English
• You have at least a bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in any field, but preferably in languages or translation
• You enjoy translating and you already have at least some experience with English Finnish and Finnish English translation
