DESCRIPTION
- Install and test new equipment.
- Have advanced crimping skills for connectors like BNC, Micro BNC, RJ45, and XLR.
- Be knowledgeable in AV broadcast hardware and IT networking, including setting up star networks.
- Understand scalers and matrix functions.
- Set up and maintain equipment for virtual studio production.
- Set up and monitor audio-visual links between units.
- Analyze and fix technical faults in equipment and systems.
- Quickly find and use alternative methods when equipment fails to minimize service loss.
- Set up and operate equipment for outside broadcasts.
- Design and install custom audio-visual circuits.
- Design and manufacture hardware and systems.
- Follow best practices for workplace health and safety.
- Follow instructions from product owners, creative directors, and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with team members and colleagues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technology by networking and researching new systems and techniques.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years of experience as a System Administrator.
- Experience with Cisco equipment (having a CCNA certification would be ideal).
- Strong knowledge of networking.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with monitoring and managing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
